  1. Steve Carmody says:

    The Thing

It inspired my choice of a career as a journalist.

    “Keep watching the skies!”

  2. Laura A. says:

One of my all time favorite movies is “Bringing Up Baby.” I love the ridiculous, rapid-fire dialogue!!

  3. Shelia says:

What is one of your all-time favorite movies and why?
That would be “The Unbearable Lightness of Being” because it spoke to me in an awakening time of my life that revealed just that! You really don’t have to do anything else! Just be-ing is enough! =)

I second this: A Big Thank You to Kino Lorber for providing the prizes!
Also, in case it is needed: I do not have a Tweeter, Facebook, or what’s the other one account, so am posting here. LOL
And, Annmarie if I win this particular one, I’m doing things a little different and requesting the one film that has garnered the most requests. The other contest I have selected YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW (1963) DVD only please. Thank you again for facilitating these great Classic Resurrections.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Wow, very interesting choice… and to be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever seen “The Unbearable Lightness of Being” in its entirety… I will have to check it out… Thanks so much for entering (and for all of your support) and Good Luck 🙂

  4. Chris Teel says:

Double Indemnity is one of my favorites. Fred McMurray playing a bad guy threw me the first time I saw it, but he did it so well I forgot about his role as the father in My Three Sons. Barbara Stanwyck was amazing as always.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Great choice! And, I know what you mean about MacMurray — hard to believe ‘Steve Douglas’ could be such a baddie… Thanks for entering and Good Luck 🙂

  5. Ashley Hinz says:

I have so many favorites. Mixed Nuts is one I never tire of. My grandmother and I would watch it at least once a year.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Oh wow, I’m honestly not familiar with that one… I just looked it up and see that Steve Martin is in it… I’ll have to check it out… Thanks for entering and Good Luck 🙂

  6. Helen L. says:

That’s a tough question to answer. One of my all-time favorite movies is An Affair to Remember. The story and acting are superb.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

I knew it would be tough! But good choice…just saw that one on the Big Screen last week… what a beautiful film! Thanks for entering and Good Luck 🙂

  7. Shawn D Moore says:

    (second attempt to comment)
I love many of the films listed, but from the list I would select Dr. Mabuse as it is a fascinating film, which doesn’t get as much exposure as many of the others listed.
It is a combination of supernatural, political, and criminal intrigue. Entertaining with a sinister and frightening edge to it. I enjoy it as well as the 1930s sequel.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Honestly, I haven’t seen it yet… but now I’m very intrigued. It sounds like something I would like! Thanks so much for entering and Good Luck 🙂

  8. Daniel says:

One of my all-time favorite movies? So many to choose from!
I’ll say Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai. My father introduced me to foreign films at a young age and it has influenced me ever since. It has everything you could want from a movie (action, adventure, comedy, romance, etc.) from a master of the cinema. Each character is uniquely defined and afforded the on-screen time for the audience to identify with. This only heightens the impact of the climax.

  9. David Dent says:

David Lynch’s ERASERHEAD. I must have seen it over 50 times, and each time I take something different from it – comedy film, romance, horror, psychological drama, musical – it’s all in there.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

I’ve never seen Eraserhead, but I’ve heard quite a bit about it… Thanks so much for entering and Good Luck 🙂

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Hi David, Congratulations, you are one of our winners. I emailed you tonight, if you don’t receive the email, please let me know. Thanks!

  10. Sandy says:

So many classic films that, if given the opportunity, I would watch over and over.

First one that popped into my head now is “Twelve Angry Men.” So many personalities, an all-star cast, twists and turns, emotions all over the place, and the scene when they each slowly turn their backs on the racist. Timely…and timeless.

And now I’ll hit Submit before I change my mind.

  11. Kristy Dalton says:

For me, it’s definitely “Duck Soup”. Not only was it the first Marx Brothers movie I saw that featured four brothers instead of three, but it was as hilarious as I had previously been told.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

I’m a huge fan of The Marx Brothers, thanks to my Dad who introduced their movies to me when I was a little kid. And, I just love Duck Soup. Always puts a smile on my face 🙂 Thanks for entering and Good Luck!

  12. Mark PAGAN says:

What is one of your all-time favorite movies and why?
For me, all-time favorites are those that I’ll stop & watch no matter what, even from the middle, even far into the post-midnight hours. Most recent example: The Great Escape – “It looks, after all, as if you will see Berlin before I do.” (just one rich taste)

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Wow, all of these posts are reminding me about all of the great movies I need to watch again! Thanks so much for entering and Good Luck 🙂

  13. Adam VanHandel says:

Raiders of the Lost Ark. A masterpiece as a child and still a masterpiece as an adult. There’s something wonderful about a perfectly directed action/adventure movie.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Good one. I haven’t seen it in ages though… probably about time I watch it again. Thanks for entering and Good Luck 🙂
