Mike Talman: [grabs her from running into Roat and Carlino still standing sliently by the front door] Wait a minute! Where are you going?
Susy Hendrix: To the studio. To Sam's studio. That's where it is.
Mike Talman: How do you know the doll's at his studio?
Susy Hendrix: Gloria just told me. You know, the little girl with the groceries. She went over there earlier today to do an errand for Sam, and she saw it. And heard it. It played a little tune.
Mike Talman: Are you sure about this?
Susy Hendrix: Yes, positive. If it hadn't been for that awful Sgt. Carlino hounding me, I could've told you earlier.
[Mike looks behind Suzy at Carlino and Roat still standing silently in which Roat mouths silently that Suzy stays while they go get it]
Mike Talman: Okay, Susy, fine. I'll go get it. Where's the studio?
Susy Hendrix: Just two blocks away. 78 West Eighth Street. It's on the top floor. And the desk is in the far corner, away from the windows. It's a big old thing with a roller top. You know the type I mean, with cubbyholes and pigeonholes and...
Mike Talman: Yeah, I know the kind you mean.
Susy Hendrix: It's in the left hand drawer, the doll. Gloria said so.
Mike Talman: Susy, I'm gonna ask you once more and this is no time for mistakes. Are you sure the little girl saw the doll at Sam's studio? Are you sure this is all true?
Susy Hendrix: I'm saving my husband's life, aren't I Mike?
Mike Talman: [walks out with Carlino and Roat] I'll be right back. You stay put. Make yourself a cup of hot coffee or something.
Susy Hendrix: Whatever you say, Mike.

Tennessee Steinmetz: [holding a pot full of coffee while using a welding iron to fire it up, and wearing big gloves] The trick is always remember to have asbestos gloves when you make coffee this way.

Geoff Carter: What's all this?
Bonnie Lee: What?
Geoff Carter: All this cooking!
Bonnie Lee: Oh, that's coffee.
Geoff Carter: Look at this mess...
Bonnie Lee: Don't touch it, it's hot! You'll burn yourself.
[he touches it]
Bonnie Lee: Oh, I told you!
Geoff Carter: Ah, ah. Go away, go away!
Bonnie Lee: Ooh, that is a burn. Here, I'll put some butter on it.
Geoff Carter: I don't want any butter on it.
Bonnie Lee: Oh, but it'll make you feel better!
Geoff Carter: I told you, I don't want any butter on it!
Bonnie Lee: My grandmother always used butter...
Geoff Carter: I don't care what your grandmother did!
[referring to the coffee]
Geoff Carter: It's still boiling! What's all this about?
Bonnie Lee: Oh, I just thought I'd like to have a nice cup of coffee. It's so cold and rainy outside and nice and cozy in here.
Geoff Carter: Oh...
Bonnie Lee: Wouldn't you like to have one, too?
Geoff Carter: No, I wouldn't, and get out of here and stop making a mess and stay out of my room, and take this with you...
[reaches for kettle]
Bonnie Lee: Oh, don't ...
Geoff Carter: [picks up kettle, whistles in surprise]
Bonnie Lee: [laughs] I thought you never did that.
Geoff Carter: Did what?
Bonnie Lee: Got burned twice in the same place.

Stumpy: Joe don't get no sugar in his coffee; he just gets water poured over the grounds.

Field Marshal Rommel: [to Mouche, as she serves him coffee in bed] Your hands are neat - why isn't the spoon?

Marge Wrighter: Gonna send that kid home, aren't you, Joe? I mean after we collect.
Joe Beacom: She'll go home... they ever fish her out of the river. Let's have the coffee, huh?

Scat Sweeney: This might be a plot to get rid of us! The coffee might be poisoned!

[Carson's preparing to leave the Worth farm, with two baskets of food]
Frederick Carson: I just get a gnawin' hankerin' after good pies and truck like that.
Mrs. Worth: Oh, Freddy Carson!
Mrs. Worth: Yes'm.
Mrs. Worth: I want you to have some of these.
[puts some rolls in one of the baskets]
Mrs. Worth: They're awful good with coffee in the mornin'.
Frederick Carson: Makes me wanna go home and shoot my Chinee cook.
Mrs. Worth: You just come back for more any time you like; there're always plenty.

Judge Adam Fenton: [hands Cooper a cup of coffee] Here, if that hangin' rope didn't kill ya, maybe my coffee will.

Baby Doll: [after being told to make him comfortable] Ain't nobody comfortable in that house. Lucky if you can find a chair to sit down on. You want coffee?
Silva Vacarro: No, just a nice cool drink of water.
Baby Doll: Oh, well the house water runs warm. But if you've got the energy to run that old pump over there you can get yourself a nice cool drink from that there cistern.
Silva Vacarro: I've got energy to burn.
