Although he never appears in the film, a photo of candidate Hammond Egger appears several times. The photo is of supporting actor Bud Jamison, who suddenly died in 1944. The photo was put in the short as a tribute to the late actor, who's talents were sorely missed during the post Curly Howard-era.
