Facts about

Joe Cuny doubled for Charles Hutchison many times while filming this serial. He was paid $5 for each stunt. "Let Joe take the five" became Hutch's catch phrase on set.
Charles Hutchison came up with the story while recuperating from a dislocated elbow he sustained during filming for a version of 'The Fortieth Door' which was never completed.
Director George B. Seitz and Spencer Gordon Bennet were among the impromptu stunt doubles for Charles Hutchison. Hutch avoided doing many of the more arduous stunts because his injuries from previous projects had not healed.
