Facts about

The movie had a preview on 26 July 1935, after which more than 20 minutes were cut from the film. After a second preview on 6 August 1935, another 12 minutes were cut. Most of the cuts were made from the opening scenes, the war montage and the courtroom scenes.
The original title for the song "I'm Bound for Heaven" was "Hell-Bent for Heaven," but was changed because of objections from the censors.
Production notes indicate the screenplay was based on a play "All Those in Favor," but no other information is known.
