Facts about

The movie had a preview on 26 July 1935, after which more than 20 minutes were cut from the film. After a second preview on 6 August 1935, another 12 minutes were cut. Most of the cuts were made from the opening scenes, the war montage and the courtroom scenes.
Pat West is in studio records/casting call lists in the role of "Yodeler," but that role was played by Herman Bing. Some production charts and news items listed Betty Furness, Fuzzy Knight, Charles Waldron and Broderick O'Farrell as cast members, but they did not appear in the movie.
The original title for the song "I'm Bound for Heaven" was "Hell-Bent for Heaven," but was changed because of objections from the censors.
