Prof. Sedletz: You with the mattress head, now, if I gave you a dollar and your father gave you a dollar, how many dollars would you have?
Larry: One dollar.
Prof. Sedletz: You don't know your arithmetic.
Larry: You don't know my father!

Curly: [to Professor Quackenbush as they rehearse eating an invisible dinner] "Pardon me, what are we eating now?"

Curly: There's a hair in my soup.
Moe: You're crazy. That's a crack in your plate.
Curly: I never saw a crack go that way.
[he makes a curving motion with his hand]
Moe: Well, that's neither hair nor there.

Facts about

This short marked the debut of Emil Sitka (who plays Sappington the butler) in short from The Three Stooges. He is one of the very few stooge foils to appear in a Stooges short featuring Curly Howard, Shemp Howard, Joe Besser and Joe DeRita.
A remake of Hoi Polloi, this was the first short from The Three Stooges that was a remake of an earlier one.
During a break in filming of this short, Curly Howard suffered a stroke, ending his film career (in the first part of the film. shot before the stroke, Curly is obviously in ill health; his movements are slowed considerably, as is his speech, he looks tired and has lost a noticeable amount of weight). When shooting resumed Moe Howard and Larry Fine continued causing the usual mayhem, with no reference to Curly's absence. Curly did have a cameo role in their next film, Hold That Lion!. In that film, he had a full head of hair, for the first time.
