Quotes from
Marshal Rose Hood:
What's your business in Oracle?
Cane Miro: It's honest... It's also private.
Marshal Rose Hood: Well, that's no answer.
Cane Miro: I intend to keep it that way.
Erica Page: Jake, get three thousand out of the office safe. Take your time about coming back.
Cane Miro: That's better. No point in my having to trust you when I can worry about nicer things.
Erica Page: What things, Cane?
Cane Miro: Such as who do I kill and when?
Erica Page: The local law on Saturday.
Cane Miro: The chesty marshal?
[Cane shoots one of Rose's prisoners who attempted to escape]
Cane Miro: C'mon - I'll help you get your worm bait back to town.

Facts about
It rained throughout most of the shoot. Many exterior shots had to be rewritten at the last minute to be shot indoors. Several exterior shots had to be done with a tarp over the actors' heads, and the score was used to drown out the sound of the rain hitting it.
According to Beverly Garland the first scene shot was a love scene between her and John Ireland. It was at 6:30 in the morning and their teeth were chattering. She says they had huge red biting ants crawling all over them during the scene, and the ants can be seen in the finished film.
Allison Hayes broke her arm when she fell off a horse during the filming. Beverly Garland claimed Hayes intentionally slid from her horse in order to get out of the film. Director Roger Corman also shot a couple of close-ups of Hayes for the film as they were waiting for the ambulance.
