MINI BIO:
George Carney was a short, chunky, brown-haired British actor usually seen in braces and boots as the common bloke. A popular music-hall comedian in his younger days, he proved to be popular as soon as he entered sound films in 1933 and, being a natural relaxed actor, was often the best thing in some poor films. He is probably now best remembered as John Mills's Father from "In Which We Serve".
