Tall, dark, virile, young-looking American leading man, a favorite target for fan mail throughout the fifties at Twentieth Century-Fox, where his career ran parallel to that of Robert Wagner, with whom he often appeared in films. Away from Fox, Hunter got himself into a variety of out-of-the-way projects, that were not given wide distribution, and his name dropped from the popularity polls.
