Legendary actress, Julie Andrews, was born Julia Elizabeth Wells on Oct 1, 1935 in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. As of December 2025, Julie Andrews was 90 years old.

MINI BIO:

British singer and actress with fresh, healthy looks, on radio as a child. Following stage hits with The Boy Friend and My Fair Lady, she briefly gained enormous popularity in the cinema of the 1960s; but her antiseptic air soon proved less than popular at the box-office despite strenuous and praiseworthy (if sometimes a trifle desperate) efforts to widen her range. Married to director Blake Edwards (second of two) since 1968, she as frequently seen in his films. Also writes children's stories. An Oscar-winner for Mary Poppins, she has also been nominated for The Sound of Music and Victor/Victoria. Unable to sing professionally after an operation to remove throat nodes in 1998. Created dame in 2000.

She was honored with one star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the category of Motion Pictures. Julie Andrews's handprints and footprints were 'set in stone' at Grauman's Chinese Theater during imprint ceremony #131 on Mar 26, 1966. In addition, Andrews was inducted into the Theater Hall of Fame . On October 22, 1991, Andrews received the Disney Legends Award for living up to the Disney principals of imagination, skill, discipline, craftsmanship and magic.
