Vivacious singer-comedienne, Edie Adams, was a wisecracking blonde in the Eve Arden tradition. Adams was multi-talented (a graduate of music and drama colleges and a beauty contest winner as well), but was too often given humorless sexpot roles by Hollywood even though she livened them up with her personality. She was married to comic star Ernie Kovacs from 1955 until his death in a car crash in 1962. She has also written a book on beauty (The Edie Adams Beauty Guide (First Printing 1973)
