MINI BIO:
Long-nosed, lantern-jawed (but attractive) American actress with light brown hair. Played brats and smart-Alec teenagers through the thirties, most notably the abhorrent Mary in These Three (1936), which won her an Oscar nomination. Her career went slowly downhill in the forties, and she seemed to lose interest in acting after her marriage in 1947, becoming associated with the "Lassie" TV series for nearly 20 years on the production side.
