Mary Wickes appeared in over 130 roles, playing lots of busybodies, nurses, housekeepers and nuns. Some of her notable roles were as Nurse Pickford in Now Voyager, Nurse Preen in The Man Who Came to Dinner and Sister Clarissa in The Trouble with Angels and Where Angels Go Trouble Follows -- and much later on in her career as Sister Mary Lazarus in Sister Act and Sister Act II.
