MINI BIO:

Fair-haired British actress, daughter of Sir Michael Redgrave and sister of Lynn Redgrave. Generally well-liked by the critics, she has never become a box-office force, despite her liberated lifestyle and well-publicized espousal of left-wing causes. After unsuccessful Oscar nominations for Morgan - a Suitable Case for Treatment, Isadora and Mary, Queen of Scots, she won a best supporting actress Academy Award (and deservedly so) for Julia. Married/divorced director Tony Richardson. A long association with actor Franco Nero also came to an end. Additional Oscar nominations for The Bostonians and Howards End.
