SYNOPSIS
Faulkner co-authored (loosely adapted from his short story "Turn About") and Hawks directed the aerial sequences with elan, but the rather soapy melodrama on the ground makes for tough going. British party girl Crawford first grabs the attention of her brother's (Tone) navy buddy (Young) - until flyboy Cooper shows up. The posturing between the rivals begins over whose duty is more hazardous until all concerned opt to die rather than get in the way of Crawford and Cooper's true romance.
