Facts about

Contains the famous "Who's on First" routine, which began life as part of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello's vaudeville act. It made its screen debut in their first film as a team, One Night in the Tropics, though none of the previous incarnations were as lengthy as the one here.
The boat used as the show boat "River Queen" in this production was also used as the "Cotton Palace" in Show Boat
The laughter that can be heard faintly in the background during the "Who's on First" routine belongs to the film crew and director Jean Yarbrough. After numerous re-takes trying to eliminate it, Yarbrough just couldn't get the crew - or himself - to stop laughing during the routine, no matter how many times they heard it. So he just gave up and left the giggling in.
