SYNOPSIS
A Western about the American migration to California in 1848 and the quest for gold and statehood. An army deserter joins the migration to California, hoping for prosperity. He becomes entangled with a tough woman gambler, and the two team up with an equally tough miner in the war for statehood against a former slave trader whose nefarious goal is to make California his own personal territory.
