At least one scene of the Martian's attack (a building being blasted) is from _Earth vs. the Flying Saucer (1956)_.
The first 20 minutes is actually reused footage from an unsold TV pilot called "The Three Stooges Scrpabook" (1960). The original pilot contained a laugh track and was filmed in color.
The shot of the flying saucers and some of the destruction scenes are from Earth vs. the Flying Saucers which Columbia had released six years earlier.
