Collaborated with brother-in-law Charles W. Goddard on several successful plays.

Dropped out of college during his junior year to join a vaudeville company.

Sister, Ruth, was married to author Charles W. Goddard.



Stage actor, and screenwriter, playwright, and stage director.

Was a halfback on the famous University of Michigan "a point a minute" football team of 1903 and 1904.
