Tom Bosley Overview:
Character actor, Tom Bosley, was born Thomas Edward Bosley on Oct 1, 1927 in Chicago, IL. Bosley died at the age of 83 on Oct 19, 2010 in Rancho Mirage, CA .
MINI BIO:
Jaunty, jovial, chubby-cheeked, not-too-tall American actor with dark hair, cheery grin and knitted eyebrows. Although Bosley knocked around the show business scene for close to 50 years in co-star roles, films never really claimed him. It was the theatre - the title role in the Broadway production of Fiorello! won him all sorts of awards including a Tony - and television that brought him his highest profile. From 1974 to 1984 he was Howard Cunningham, father of the family in the immensely successful 1950s teenage nostalgia comedy show Happy Days. In 1987, he became the sleuthing priest in The Father Dowling Mysteries.

Tom Bosley Quotes:
Nancy Beardsley: We've come to deliver the babies.
Family Doctor: Oh, have a heart! Leave them on somebody else's doorstep.
B.A.H. Humbug: [singing] Christmas trees are brightly lighted/ Around the world, the church bells ring/ Big and small, all are invited/ To the birthday party of the King/ Mighty prince and humble peasant/ Each must choose a gift to bring/ Do you have a birthday present/ For the birthday party of the King?/ Once wise men came in His honor/ Bringing frankincense, myrrh, and gold/ But what is gold to a Ruler/ Who has all the stars to hold?/ Do you know what gift will please Him?/ Praise Him more than anything/ Bring a heart that truly loves Him/ To the birthday party of the King/
Family Doctor: Call my wife, will you, and tell her I'm on my way home?
[beat]
Family Doctor: And tell her thank you.
Frank Beardsley: For what?
Family Doctor: We don't have any children.
