Steven Geray was a diminutive, sometimes mustachioed actor who made his name in the Hungarian theatre, and seems to have made no films before coming to London in 1934. He moved on to Hollywood in the 1940s, and quickly entered the most rewarding phase of his career there, sneaking scenes from the stars and playing leading roles in "The Moon and Sixpence" and "So Dark the Night".
