Sig Arno Overview:
Character actor, Sig Arno, was born Siegfried Aron on Dec 27, 1895 in Hamburg, Germany. Arno died at the age of 79 on Aug 17, 1975 in Woodland Hills, CA .
MINI BIO:
German-born comic actor with humorous mouth and rolling eyes, who had both lightweight and dramatic leading roles in German films (in all of which he was billed as Siegfried Arno) before fleeing the country in 1933. Like so many continental refugees, Arno, after travelling (and acting) through several countries, ended up in Hollywood, where he contributed a delightful series of cameos as over-eager men-on-the-make whose fractured English made the hero instantly suspicious. Died from Parkinson's Disease.
