Rolfe Sedan Overview:

Character actor, Rolfe Sedan, was born Edward Sedan on Jan 20, 1896 in New York City, NY. Sedan died at the age of 86 on Sep 16, 1982 in Pacific Palisades, CA .

MINI BIO:

Stocky, dark-haired, mustachioed, eager-looking American small-part actor with an amused mouth, and a nose and chin that threatened to bump into one another. A considerably bigger star on stage than in films, Sedan played everything from walk-ons and one-liners to prominent featured roles. He was as often seen as lotharios and partygoers in the social swirl as he was as wiseacre waiters, chiefs, croupiers, or salesmen. He first entered films as a schoolboy extra in 1908. Bitten by the acting bug, he was a stage actor at 17 before beginning a busy film career in his twenties: it stretched from 1919 to 1981, one of the longest on record. Mostly in comedy parts, including innumerable shorts for Hal Roach and others in the 1920s and 1930s. Died from a coronary occlusion.
