American actor who almost always played a bad guy - often one who turned yellow in the end. The son of another character actor, Russian-born Maurice Moscovitch (1871-1940), he was billed in the theatre as Nat Madison, then came to Hollywood with the beginnings of sound. Fleeing from a run of evil gangsters, he made several films in Britain in the late 1930s, including three with Jessie Matthews.

It is inscribed as follows: "In affectionate appreciation of the part he played in the founding of the Screen Actors Guild in 1933, this Honorary Life Membership is presented November 25, 1958 to Noel Madison by the Board of Directors".
