Marjorie Rhodes Overview:

Character actress, Marjorie Rhodes, was born on Apr 9, 1897 in Hull, England. Rhodes died at the age of 82 on Jul 4, 1979 in Hove, England .

MINI BIO:

Marjorie Rhodes played the kind of woman whose daughter you hoped your son wouldn't marry. One can picture the flowered hat, the print dress, and the coverall coat. Her mothers could have lashing tongues or loving natures, but whether from London or her native Yorkshire, they were all thoroughly working class. Occasionally she broke out of the mold to play something like the wardress in Yield to the Night, but generally shabbiness and homeliness prevailed.
