George Tobias was an affable-looking American supporting actor who appeared in Warner films for most of the 1940s, mostly as the hero's loyal, but not-too-bright sidekick, but sometimes in juicier and more interesting roles. He worked in films as a freelance for a few years afterwards, but was mostly seen on television after 1958. He died from cancer.
