George Tobias was an affable-looking American supporting actor who appeared in Warner films for most of the 1940s, mostly as the hero's loyal, but not-too-bright sidekick, but sometimes in juicier and more interesting roles. He worked in films as a freelance for a few years afterwards, but was mostly seen on television after 1958. He died from cancer.

George Tobias Facts
He appeared in both Ninotchka (1939) and Silk Stockings (1957), its musical remake.

He was Abner Kravitz on "Bewitched" (1964) where Darrin Stevens was played by Dick York and Dick Sargent. He also starred opposite Gary Cooper in Sergeant York (1941).

He was a lifelong bachelor but for 40 years had an off-and-on relationship with actress Milicent Patrick until his death in 1980.
