Facts about
At the end of the cartoon, you can see bugs mouthing something (presumably "G**d***ed b****rd"), but no actual words are heard. This is similar to other Looney Toons/Merrie Melodies shorts, where characters mouth the words of phrases that won't pass the censors (e.g. Yosemite Sam saying (underwater) "F***ing a**hole" in _Buccaneer Bunny (1948 short)_, or an Indian mouthing "G**d***ed son of a b****", voiced by the orchestra, in The Hardship of Miles Standish).
Long-standing controversy exists between this film and the Tom & Jerry short, The Cat Concerto. Both sides (WB & MGM) claim that theirs was the original, and the other was a rip-off. Nobody knows for sure who is correct and it is, of course, entirely conceivable that the similarities are pure coincidence.
