In the early seventies, she moved to the states after marrying Hollywood mogul Robert Chartoff (Up the Sandbox (1972), They Shoot Horses, Don't They? (1969)). Enjoying life in Beverly Hills, she claimed her acting career in Britain was just "drifting". She admitted that two of her final films, Girly (1970) and What Became of Jack and Jill? (1972), disappearing without a trace, contributed to her losing the acting bug.
She and her husband, Robert Chartoff, have an adult daughter, Julie, and an adopted daughter, Miranda.
Stepmother of William Chartoff and Charley Chartoff.
