He was awarded the C.M. (Member of the Order of Canada) on April 27, 2000 for his services to performing arts in Canada.
Mr. van Bridge was a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts
Spent 15 years with the Stratford Festival, and over 20 years with the Shaw Festival. He was interim artistic director at Shaw for the 1974-1975 season.
