Daughter of Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy
Prepared for her own theatrical career at London's Central School of Speech and Drama. Her first Broadway appearance occurred in 1969, when she joined the cast of the long-running musical "Cabaret" as Sally Bowles.
She chalked up some impressive stage credits over the years in such classics as Ibsen's "An Enemy of the People", Brecht's "Good Woman of Setzuan", Sophocles' "Antigone" and Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing", as well as such stark, contemporary dramas as "The Killing of Sister George".
The youngest of the two children of actors Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy.
