Thick-lipped character actor who appeared in several Mack Sennett and D.W. Griffith films in the silent days; he later supported W.C. Fields in several of his comedies, before his early death.
Well known for his gate crashing. In 1921 Young managed to gain entrance to the "Battle of the Century" championship fight between Jack Dempsey and Frenchman Georges Carpentier disguised as an iceman.
