Borrowed his stage moniker from the capital city of Michigan.

Daughter with Hardy: Alice Lucille (b. 1970) now known as Alyiki

Rugged American leading man of 50s Broadway and 60s standard film and TV action drama -- the star of several TV series ("12 O'Clock High" (1964) and "The Man Who Never Was" (1966) among others).

The "Assignment: Earth" episode of "Star Trek" (1966), in which Lansing plays a human raised on a distant planet and sent to Earth as a troubleshooter, was written as the springboard for a spin-off series.
