Peter Dyneley

Peter Dyneley

Although he was British, he performed with an American accent in both "Thunderbirds" (1965) and The Manster (1959), a very low-budget, Japanese-shot horror film that has achieved a cult reputation.

His wife, Jane Hylton, died of a heart attack on 28 February 1979.

Though born and mostly employed in England, his early life in Canada gave him such a perfect ear for the North American accent that many of his best remembered roles (such as the voice of Jeff Tracey in the "Thunderbirds" (1965) TV series) were Americans. He was for many years a member of ITC's stable of character actors, and in one episode of "The Saint" (1962)--"The Bunco Artists"--he plays a con artist who starts out with an American accent and later reverts to British.
