Nick Cravat

In the films The Flame and the Arrow (1950) and The Crimson Pirate (1952), he played characters that were mute. This was because he spoke with a very thick Brooklyn accent that he could not shake, and it would have been wildly out of place in such period costume dramas.

Long-time acrobatic partner of Burt Lancaster.
