Mother of actress Angela Lansbury, with whom she appeared in The Picture of Dorian Gray (1945).
Mother of producers Edgar Lansbury and Bruce Lansbury.
She had two daughters, one being Angela Lansbury and the second, Isolde Denham, who was married to the actor Peter Ustinov (1945-1950) with whom she had one daughter, the actress Tamara Ustinov and secondly to Derek Dempster (1950-1967). Isolde died from motor neurone disease in Brighton in 1987. Her son-in-law is the actor Malcolm Rennie.
