In 1961 while still a junior-high school student in Teaneck, NJ, she had 3 consecutive US hits with "I Told Every Little Star", "Don't Bet Money, Honey" and "I Don't Know Why (I Love You Like I Do)".
She left show business in the 1970s to pursue studies in theology.
She was a regular on "Where the Action Is" (1965), singing the hits of the day of the top rock performers including The Beatles.
