Lawrence Pressman

A founding member of the Matrix Theatre in Los Angeles, he has appeared in many of its (double-cast) productions, including "The Birthday Party," "Dangerous Corners," "Mad Forest," "The Seagull," "The Tavern" and "Betrayal."

Co-starred in "The Man in the Glass Booth" directed by Harold Pinter, and went on to reprise his role in the film version starring Maximilian Schell.

Father of actor David Pressman.

Godfather of Director/Writer/Producer Paul Weitz.

Met his wife, Lanna Saunders, while studying with Elia Kazan.



Studied acting with Michael Howard in New York City.

Trained in classical roles at the American Shakespeare Festival in Stratford Connecticut and at Lincoln Center's Training Program.
