Appeared in Broadway's "New Faces of 1952" in which she co-wrote many of the songs. She also appeared in the 1954 film version of "New Faces."
Made her debut singing at age 5 at the Fox Theater in Detroit.
She is the mother of composer Jonathan Carroll by her second husband Sidney Carroll. Composer 'Steve Reich' is her son from her first marriage.
She was the sister of producer Leonard Sillman.
