Along with Simon Pegg, Alan Dale, Daphne Ashbrook, Guy Siner, Maurice Roëves, Olaf Pooley, Christopher Neame,Mark Shepherd, Morgan W Shepherd,John De Lancie, Nana Vistior Barrie Ingham and Deep Roy, he is one of only 14 actors to have speaking roles in both the "Doctor Who" and "Star Trek" franchises. He played a Time Lord in "Doctor Who: Genesis of the Daleks: Part One (#12.11)" (1975) and Macias in "Star Trek: The Next Generation: Preemptive Strike (#7.24)" (1994). He and Siner both appeared in the former.
Was first intended that John Franklyn-Robbins would play Decider Garif in Doctor Who: Full Circle, but he was replaced by Alan Rowe.
