Best known for his semi-regular guest starring role of Mr. Jesse Flouge, the elevator man on the syndicated "How to Marry a Millionaire" (1957), from 1957 through 1959. Sometimes credited as James Cross.
His son, James "Spike" Cross, was killed in an automobile accident in 1987. Spike's mother was Peggy Ryan.
