Jennifer Warren

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin.

As an actress, she won the Film World Award for Night Moves in 1975.

Her film The Beans of Egypt Maine won Best Pick at the Seattle and Boston Film Festivals.

Her first short film "Point of Departure" won the Cine Golden Eagle Award and Best Drama at Aspen Film Festival.

Listed as one of twelve "Promising New Actors of 1975" in John Willis' Screen World, Vol. 27.



Priot to acting in movies put in ten years worth of stage work, often appearing with the Tyrone Guthrie theater group in Minneapolis.

She also won the Theatre World Award for 6 Rms. Riv. Vu in 1970. She starred opposite Jerry Orbach.

She studied drama at HB Studio in Greenwich Village in New York City.

Sometimes mistaken for the singer/actress who appeared as a regular on "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour" in the 1960s. That performer, who was billed on that series and on her recordings as "Jennifer" and sometimes as "Jennifer Warren" (and whose real name is Jennifer Warnes), returned to her legal name for professional use to avoid the conflict of identical names.

Was a founding member of the Alliance of Women Directors.
