Short, bald, funny-looking comic character actor who was cast at the age of fifty-six in his first major acting role as Corporal Sam Fender in twenty-four episodes of "The Phil Silvers Show" (1955) [Sgt. Bilko]. Four years after the cancellation of that series he played Waluska with the top comedian again on "The New Phil Silvers Show" (1963).
