Famous among Star Trek sequel fans for her portrayal of "B'Etor", a female Klingon.
She grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia, and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of Alberta. She has appeared on stage in several productions in Canada and the United States.
While doing research for her character -- a forensic pathologist -- on "Da Vinci's Inquest" (1998), she interviewed a female pathologist in British Columbia (where women pathologists outnumber their male counterparts). She attended an autopsy and visited a morgue.
