Along with Simon Pegg, Alan Dale, Daphne Ashbrook, Maurice Roëves, Olaf Pooley, John Franklyn-Robbins, Christopher Neame, Barrie Ingham and Deep Roy, he is one of only ten actors to have credited roles in both the "Star Trek" and "Doctor Who" franchises. He played General Ravon in "Doctor Who: Genesis of the Daleks: Part One (#12.11)" (1975) and Stuart Reed, the father of regular character Lt. Malcolm Reed, in "Star Trek: Enterprise: Silent Enemy (#1.12)" (2002). Franklyn-Robbins also appeared in the former.
