Country and pop singer of Australian parentage. Had three successive number 1 hits in the UK in the early sixties.
He had his only Top 10 US hit in the summer of 1962 with his Pop Country rendition of "I Remember You" written by Johnny Mercer for "The Fleet's In"(1942).
