In 1959, she was given a screen test by Warner Brothers, but turned down with a note that she resembled Elizabeth Taylor or Grace Kelly, but they couldn't decide which one would be her type of part to play.
Was completely deaf from an accident at age four but regained her hearing completely when she was nine.
