Marie Lohr

Began and ended her career as a stage actress with plays by George Bernard Shaw. At 18 she appeared at the invitation of Shaw in his play "Getting Married", which made her a star, and her last appearance was in the Shavian revival of "Man and Superman".

In 1918, with then-husband Anthony Prinsep, she took over the management of the Globe Theatre until their divorce in the late 20s.

Niece of actor Alfred Bishop.
