Facts about

Adolf Hitler reportedly watched the film two or three times a week when he was suffering from insomnia. He was also said to be enamoured with Pola Negri.
Although Pola Negri did her own singing in the cabaret scenes, the higher (soprano) lines in the operetta scenes were dubbed by Hilde Seipp.
